Export an XML that Final Cut can add to an existing Event

I'd like the ability to export a file that I can just use to drag onto my timeline in Final Cut Pro instead of an XML file.
With XML files it creates a new event on my library that I have to end up deleting afterwards since my timeline is a separate event. Maybe if it could export as an XML that goes into a specific event instead of creating a new one altogether?
