Automatic Muticam Cuts
Currently, neither Final Cut Pro, nor Premiere Pro, nor DaVinci Resolve offers the possibility to add automatic camera switches when editing a multi-cam timeline. It would be fantastic and a huge time saver to many editors who do not care too much about precision (especially with 3 hours long videos), if you could add a feature to Recut that allows you to change cameras automatically after a few seconds. For example, if you shot your video with 4 cameras, you can plug your 4 videos into Recut for a multicam timeline and it can automatically switch cameras for you every 4 seconds or every other amount of seconds you want. And you can also even have a random number of seconds within a range. Like, within the range of 10 seconds (meaning, no cut will be longer than 10 seconds), you can switch cameras in a range between 3 to 7 seconds. Like, camera 1 would be up for 4 seconds, then camera 2 for 3 seconds, then camera 3 for 6 seconds, etc. Random amount of seconds within that range and that limit.
That I think will make the lives of video game streamers or sole streamers way easier later in post when they edit their multicam final video. And other editors too. I, for example, would love to have that feature. You can even lengthen or shorten each of those new cuts within Recut before you export your XML file or your video export file if more precision is desired.
