Mute silent segments instead of cutting them

This might end up being another mode for cutting. It's pretty similar to this https://feedback.getrecut.com/feature-requests/p/an-option-to-not-ripple-delete-silence except instead of removing those segments, it would keep them in place but set their volume to 0.

In FCP there is an option to mute clips or turn them off in the timeline (they then have a dimmed color, by default you do it with the V key). Any of these things as an option instead of cutting them out completely would be awesome!
