If it can take the OMF files in and out that really is it. But import is less important since Recut is usually used pre editing. As long as the waveforms stayed in place Pro Tools has a way of retaining effects etc. I do this with Descript a lot where I only import the waves and use descript to edit then put it back in for the bounce.

Great idea! I'll probably think about this as two separate features, Import and Export. Export is definitely the more straightforward of the two. How do you see yourself using the Import in your workflow?
So far I haven't built imports for any formats because I think it'll be very difficult to get right - where instead of only having to worry about tracks and clips and their timings, someone could conceivably import an entire project that's near completion – with a whole ton of effects and other stuff that would be tricky to keep in their correct places while all the cutting is going on. It seems like it'd be tough to automatically do "the right thing" at all of those decision points, and hard to avoid breaking the project in weird ways.
