Removing Camera Shake
Perhaps this is a different app, but I've found this great plugin that no longer works, call Rough Cut, which just trims the shaky parts of at the beginning and end of your footage. It reminds me of ReCut, but for video rather than audio. - https://aescripts.com/roughcut/

Ohh this is interesting. Is the use case something like, you hit record and keep the camera rolling the whole time through rough + smooth parts, and then you want to find the smooth parts during the edit?

Dave Ceddia: YESSS! But just slightly. Or maybe having different levels of random padding you can choose from. I feel like this would def help with the editing for sure. Cause i do enjoy editing my own videos most the time. Lmao but the only reason i wouldnt use recut is because it makes it too robotic and i feel like i have to go into imovie and create more cuts to make it a little more natural feeling. Oh and the jump cuts zoom in and out is KEY for me as well. Also being able to move each scene or each cut in the video to a different spot would be very handy as i make public interview videos mostly so i like changing my scenes every 30 seconds or basically moving my cuts around so the camera cuts and transistions to different scenes and areas so more people will stay engaged rather than staying on one scene or one camera angle the whole video. If there was a way to move the cuts to different areas in the segment would be amazing and a big time saver from me using imovie all the time on my mac. Lmao
Rodman Davis: I think I know what you mean, yeah. I'm thinking it would probably vary the padding randomly a bit on each cut or something like that?
I also think you should add a tool where you can change the duration of cuts so it doesnt sound so robotic cause all the cuts are cut at the same length, i think if there was a button to just slightly make each cut a little different, it would make the cuts more human like or natural like rather than seeming like an actual robot cut your video cause of the same cut durations on each cut. Do you know what i mean?
Dave Ceddia: i was thinking of just smoothing out the whole video like just a mass camera shake remover. Or yeah, maybe just segments where its moved by accident
